Jharkhand Land Scam suspect Krishna Kant Sinha commits suicide amid ongoing probe

Krishna Kant Sinha, a figure implicated in the Jharkhand land scam case under the scrutiny of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), commited suicide on thursady at his residence in Ranchi's  Lalitpur area. 

The 56-year-old was discovered hanging by a ceiling fan in his room. He had been summoned by the federal probe agency in connection to the land grab case linked to former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. Reports suggest that Sinha, perceived as an associate of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leaders, had received the summons regarding Antu Tirki, Irshad Akhtar, Vipin Singh, and Priyaranjan Sahay.

Allegedly, the pressure of the Enforcement Directorate's summons had taken a toll on Krishna Kant Sinha's mental well-being. His relatives revealed that he was engaged in a trading business and had no involvement in the purported land scam, according to Jagran.com. Until 9:30 on Thursday morning, everything seemed normal. However, after retreating to his room, Sinha became unresponsive to calls from his concerned relatives. Upon investigation, they found him hanging by a fan, leading to immediate suspicions.
