Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan is set to be bestowed with the esteemed Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award for his remarkable contributions to the nation and society, announced by the Mangeshkar family on Tuesday. This prestigious accolade, previously conferred upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi and renowned singer Asha Bhosale, recognizes Bachchan's unparalleled dedication and impact on Indian culture and society.

Established in memory of the late Bharat Ratna awardee and legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award by the Deenanath Mangeshkar Smriti Pratishthan aims to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their respective fields. Alongside Bachchan, music maestro AR Rahman and veteran Marathi actor Ashok Saraf will also be honored, highlighting their significant contributions to music and cinema.
