In the Hariharpara police station area late on April 9th, a boyfriend allegedly attempted to kill his girlfriend's sister-in-law by throwing acid on her, following the advice of his girlfriend. The perpetrator, along with his girlfriend, was apprehended by the Hariharpada police on Tuesday night.

According to police reports, the accused boyfriend visited his girlfriend's residence late at night on April 9th and threw acid from a bottle at her sister-in-law's face, resulting in severe burns. A formal complaint was lodged at the Hariharpara police station on April 10th, leading to the arrest of the accused individuals on Tuesday night. They were subsequently presented before the Baharampur District Court on Wednesday, with the police seeking seven days of custody for further investigation.
