Qutub Minar lights up in 'Jashn-e-Matdan' amidst general elections 2024
The Rouse Avenue Court has extended the Enforcement Directorate's remand of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till April 1 in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy. Kejriwal will continue to remain in custody until Monday, following which further proceedings will take place before the court bench.
The extension of Arvind Kejriwal's remand comes as the fourth Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader to be arrested in the case, which has been under ED investigation for the past two years. The ED sought the extension, arguing the need to confront Kejriwal with other accused individuals in the excise policy case and analyze data from digital devices seized during a search at his premises on March 21. Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, expressed concerns over his well-being, stating that he is not keeping well and facing harassment during his ED custody, prompting protests in Delhi and Punjab.
