Fire breaks out at DRR studio in Rajarhat

  • Workers protest the delayed arrival of the fire engine

A fire broke out at the Rajarhat DRR Studio, where popular Bengali TV shows like Didi Number One and Dadagiri are filmed. The incident began when a makeup van inside the studio caught fire, followed by another vanity van nearby and a tin sheet. Studio staff attempted to extinguish the flames using water from the on-site reservoir. Unfortunately, two cars were engulfed by the fire.

The Rajarhat police station swiftly responded to the scene, and a fire engine was dispatched. However, the workers staged a protest over the late arrival of the fire engine.
