Indian cricket icon Yuvraj Singh has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, joining the ranks of Chris Gayle and Usain Bolt. This announcement was made public on Friday, signifying Yuvraj's pivotal role in promoting the tournament, set to commence on June 1st.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the event, Yuvraj Singh anticipates a remarkable tournament, especially with the Caribbean hosting it. He also highlighted the growing popularity of cricket in the United States. In his words, "Some of my fondest cricketing memories have come from playing at the T20 World Cup, including hitting six sixes in an over, so it’s very exciting to be part of this edition, which is set to be the biggest one yet."

ICC's General Manager of Marketing and Communications, Claire Furlong, praised Yuvraj Singh's illustrious cricketing career, she expressed, "His name is synonymous with the T20 World Cup, owning one of the event’s most iconic moments."

One of the most awaited fixtures of the tournament is the clash between India and Pakistan, scheduled for June 9th in New York. This marquee matchup is expected to draw massive attention and excitement among cricket enthusiasts worldwide.
