Jharkhand shools adjust timings amid heat wave

  • Classes for KG to 8th grade to be held from 7 am to 11:30 am, and for 9th grade and above from 7 am to 12 noon
  • School Education and Literacy Department of Jharkhand released an order regarding the change in school timings on Saturday
  • Altered schedule will be in effect until further notice, aiming to protect students from the adverse effects of the ongoing heat wave

In response to the prevailing heat wave conditions in Jharkhand, both government and non-government schools have adjusted their schedules. Beginning April 22, classes for students from Kindergarten to 8th grade will be conducted from 7 am to 11:30 am, while classes for students in 9th grade and above will run from 7 am to 12 noon. The decision comes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students amidst the extreme heat.
