Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing an election rally in Agra, launched a scathing attack on the alliance between Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh, accusing them of engaging in politics of appeasement. PM Modi criticized the Congress for what he deemed as divisive policies, including providing reservation based on religion, asserting, "Friendship between 'two boys' in UP is based on politics of appeasement."

Highlighting his government's commitment to development for all, PM Modi contrasted it with the purported special focus of the SP-Congress INDI alliance on a particular vote bank. He reiterated the BJP's saturation model, aiming to ensure welfare schemes benefit deserving individuals directly without any intermediaries. Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India has taken action regarding allegations of model code of conduct violation, issuing a notice to BJP president JP Nadda to respond to complaints against PM Modi's remarks in Banswara, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards of political discourse.
