Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday announced a nationwide public outreach campaign titled 'Kya Bolti Public'. Following a two-day internal party deliberation, Dipke stated that the movement would travel across the country starting in September to engage directly with citizens, particularly the youth. The campaign aims to understand public concerns and bring issues like unemployment, education reforms, and social justice to the forefront of national discourse.
Dipke, who came to prominence during the CJP-led youth agitation at Jantar Mantar, reaffirmed that the CJP will continue to operate as an independent pressure group rather than convert into a formal political party. Highlighting demographic data, he noted that nearly 65% of India's population is under the age of 35, yet their key concerns remain neglected by mainstream politics. He emphasized that education has turned into an expensive business, advocating for policy reforms to make schooling and higher education affordable.
Additionally, the CJP founder sought to elevate youth unemployment into a major national issue, arguing that high costs of degree programs are leaving millions of educated youth without suitable job opportunities. Reaffirming the party's ideological stance, Dipke stated that the movement will remain rooted in constitutional values, drawing inspiration from B.R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru while continuing to advocate for democratic accountability and social justice.
