Excel Entertainment, owned by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani, acquired the rights to the original film directed by Chandra Barot, with the character of Don shaped by esteemed writers Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan. With Ranveer as the new face, Farhan is carrying the franchise forward.
Ranveer shared his profound respect for Bachchan and Khan, referring to them as the "G.O.A.Ts of Hindi Cinema." He hopes to do justice to the "Don" legacy and expressed his understanding of the immense responsibility that comes with it. The actor, currently riding high on the success of "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," emphasized that this opportunity is a realization of a childhood dream.
