Producers Lingusamy and Subash Chandra Bose have filed a complaint against actor-politician Kamal Haasan over breach of contract, alleging that he failed to follow through on a promised film project. The complaint, lodged with the Producer's Council, revolves around Kamal's purported agreement to compensate for losses incurred from their collaboration on the film "Uttama Villain" in 2015. Lingusamy and Subash claim that despite Kamal's assurance to work on another film with a budget of Rs 30 crore, he has not fulfilled his commitment for nine years.

According to reports, Lingusamy and Subash assert that Kamal repeatedly altered the script for the proposed film, attributing the box office failure of "Uttama Villain" to these changes. They further alleged that Kamal opted to work on the remake of "Drishyam" with another producer, despite their proposal.

The production house shared a video interview wherein Lingusamy expressed frustration over Kamal's indecisiveness, stating, "The problem with Kamal is that he keeps changing his mind often." This development comes amidst ongoing disputes regarding the financial ramifications of "Uttama Villain" for the producers.
