West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in Kolaghat, Purba Medinipur district, on Tuesday due to adverse weather conditions. Official sources confirmed that the Chief Minister had departed from Dumdum heading toward Keshpur in Paschim Medinipur district when deteriorating weather prompted the precautionary maneuver.
Prioritizing safety, the pilot elected to land the aircraft in an open ground in Kolaghat rather than proceeding through the inclement weather. Chief Minister Adhikari was en route to Keshpur to attend a scheduled public event organized to pay tribute to iconic freedom fighter Khudiram Bose.
Following the successful emergency landing, the Chief Minister's convoy rearranged travel plans on the spot. Adhikari resumed his journey to the venue at Keshpur by road to ensure his participation in the memorial program without further delay.
