West Bengal Chief Minister and Police Minister Suvendu Adhikari conducted surprise visits to key police stations and the state fire department headquarters on Wednesday morning. The Chief Minister personally inspected the Watganj and Ekbalpore Police Stations in the port area to review operational readiness and administrative functioning.
Following the port area visits, Chief Minister Adhikari proceeded to the state police headquarters at Lalbazar, where he met with Police Commissioner Ajay Nand to discuss regional security and police operations. He subsequently visited the fire department headquarters to assess the preparedness and response mechanisms of emergency services.
Health Minister Sharadwat Mukherjee also conducted parallel surprise visits across key state administrative facilities on the same morning, inspecting Kolkata Medical College to review healthcare infrastructure and patient services.
