The Cricket Association of Bengal's joint secretary, Devvrat Das, rushed to the scene upon notification and expressed concern about the incident. He emphasized the ongoing renovation efforts ahead of the World Cup, which is set to begin in two months, featuring five crucial matches at the Eden Gardens. Renovation targets aim to wrap up by September 15, with ICC representatives scheduled to assess the progress next month.
