A fire broke out at a plastic warehouse in the commercial hub of Burrabazar near Nandaram Market on Wednesday morning. The ill-fated warehouse is located on Purushotam Rai Street. Upon receiving information about the blaze, five fire engines were dispatched to the spot immediately to carry out firefighting operations.
Because the warehouse was filled with highly flammable plastic materials, the flames spread rapidly across the premises. The presence of dense combustible stock posed a significant challenge to the responding fire personnel during the initial response.
Through the relentless efforts of the firefighting team, the blaze was successfully brought under control after nearly an hour. While no casualties have been reported, the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
