Kolkata Metro will begin services at 7 am on Sunday on the Blue and Green Lines to facilitate candidates appearing for the Combined Medical Services Examination. The revised schedule advances the usual Sunday start time by two hours. Metro authorities announced that the special arrangement has been made to ensure convenient travel for examination candidates, while the timing of the last metro service will remain unchanged.
According to the revised timetable, the first trains will depart from Dakshineswar on the down line and Shahid Khudiram on the up line at 7 am. Metro services on both the Blue and Green Lines will operate at 30-minute intervals between 7 am and 9 am, after which trains will run according to the regular Sunday schedule. The timing of the final metro service at night will remain the same as on other Sundays.
