The mother of a 15-year-old girl charged for using abusive slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep gratitude, stating that the PM gave her daughter "jeevandaan" (a new life) by forgiving her. The mother’s emotional statement followed a public apology issued by the minor girl in a video message, where she expressed regret for her actions during a student protest.
The incident gained attention after Noida Police registered a 'Zero FIR' based on a complaint regarding the abusive remarks. Clarifying that the age and name listed in the FIR were inaccurate, the mother appealed to Prime Minister Modi to help get the legal charges dropped so her daughter could live peacefully without court proceedings affecting her future.
The mother also urged the government to ban social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook for children under 18 to prevent them from being exploited or misled. Her appeal comes after Prime Minister Modi publicly called for restraint, urging society to guide and forgive the youth rather than subjecting them to legal punishment.
