A large quantity of government relief materials was recovered from inside the Ward No. 144 office in Behala after the lock was broken open, triggering a stir in the area. According to reports, BJP workers and local residents jointly broke open the lock and found items including large aluminium vessels, sewing machines, and wheelchairs stored inside the premises. Local residents and opposition activists alleged that government assistance meant for beneficiaries had remained stockpiled in the ward office for years instead of being distributed. The recovered sewing machines were reportedly intended for underprivileged women trained under the state government's Atmanirbhar scheme, while the wheelchairs had been allocated for differently-abled residents of the area but had allegedly not been distributed.
