Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has reportedly fallen victim to a financial scam, with three individuals allegedly duping him of Rs 1.55 crore.
The accused, who were business partners of the actor, convinced him to invest in an event and film production firm, promising lucrative returns. However, they allegedly misappropriated the funds for personal gain.
The actor's chartered accountant filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against the trio under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including cheating and criminal breach of trust.
The investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
