The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur on Thursday announced the results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2023 conducted by the institute this year. IIT-Kanpur successfully conducted GATE-2023 with the final session on 12th February. The exam was held on 4, 5, 11 and 12 February 2023 in eight sessions.
About 6.70 lakh candidates have registered for GATE this year for a total of 29 posts. Out of this, 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the examination in more than 500 centres across the country with an overall participation of 77%. Of around 1 million candidates, about 18% have qualified for the GATE 2023 exam.
Out of 29 jobs, 12 jobs had more than 20% qualified candidates apply. The Metallurgical Engineering paper sees around 25% qualified candidates, making it the highest pass percentage for GATE this year.
Scorecards will be available to all candidates by March 22 on the GATE-2023 application portal. Those interested will be able to download the scorecards until May 31 without any charges.
