Nearly three dozen JAP (Jharkhand Armed Police) personnel of 7 Hazaribag fell ill due to suspicion of grabbing food after having dinner at the JA campus in Mohan Pur, Deoghar on Thursday.
Nearly a dozen victims are still receiving treatment while the rest were released on Friday.
The hospital's civil surgeon Dr Yugal Kishore Choudhary dismissed the food poisoning allegations and said, "If the complication was caused by food, all those who dined on the same mess would also fall ill."
Choudhary said the staff may have fallen ill after drinking the contaminated water.
