On Saturday, different regions of the city experienced strong winds, showers, and sporadic drizzles over the day. Rain is anticipated to last until Sunday night. The Met Office reported that until Tuesday, the weather was still quite conducive to at least one or two thunderstorms.

The Met office predicted that there will be a 60% to 70% chance of thunderstorms on Sunday night. By Tuesday, the maximum temperature is predicted to drop to about 24 degrees as a result of many thunderstorm outbreaks. Thereafter, the temperature may start to increase once more, as said by the Met office.

The continuous cloud development and drizzles, according to Regional Meteorological Centre director G K Das, are caused by a cyclonic circulation between Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. The formation of troughs that start in Rajasthan has further increased the likelihood of an impending thunderstorm.

According to Das, the conditions were favourable for up to two northwestern till March 20 because of Saturday's forecast of approaching thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 30 to 40 mph. During thunderstorms, the Met Office has also recommended people seek safety in a secure location.

For the second day in a row, the high temperature on Saturday was 26.4° Celsius. On Saturday, the minimum temperature increased from 20.7°C to 23.1°C.
